The Coquetdale Quilters
Our first group effort was making quilts for Kurdish refugees and we made at that time some 50 or so. We progressed to quilts for Romanian orphans and then quilts as raffle prizes for various children's charities.
For the National Trust Centenary celebrations we made the "Cragside Quilt" which displayed many of the features of Cragside, including a fabric painting of the house above the Iron Bridge. It was on display at the house for many weeks before the draw and helped raise more than £8,000.00 for the National Trust.
The current project is a quilt that will be donated to the Air Ambulance.
