Rothbury Garage

Rothbury Garage was built  by John Lee as a modern showroom and workshop and opened as a garage at Townfoot in 1904. Over the years the business expanded to running  buses from Rothbury to Newcastle and and in 1936 even more frequent services to Newcastle, Longframlington and Morpeth with market day services  to Harbottle, Alwinton and Netherton. In 2001 Rothbury Motors closed down, the petrol service discontinued and the building was sold. It was completely refurbished and opened for business for the specialist storage and renovation of Classic cars as well as the usual vehicle repair and maintenance.
